Our Church is also the home of the Coal Valley Food Pantry.  The food pantry's goal is to serve the community of Coal Valley by providing food to those families who may be living without enough.

The food pantry is a joint effort between several churches in our community.  The hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m to noon.

Celebrate Holy Week

Palm Sunday:  During Worship starting at 10:15 we will have our traditional Procession of Palms recognizing Jesus’ triumphant entry into the Holy City

“Journey of Passion”  On March 29th at 7:30, our church will be sharing an interesting evening of reflection entitled “The Journey of Passion.”  Come and be a part of this moving passion drama.  Journey with Jesus’ followers from the Sea of Galilee to Jericho and to his final days in the Holy City, Jerusalem.  The Journey reaches its climax in the mystery and the glory of Jesus’ sacrifice at Calvary.  Please invite your family and friends to attend.

Maundy Thursday:  Thursday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m. there will be a Tenebrae Service where we will take a scriptural journey from the table to the tomb embarking on the Biblical story of Jesus’ journey to the cross.

Easter Sunday:  April 5th at 8:00 a.m. we are joining our hearts together in a meaningful expression of joy and praise for the Good News that Christ is Risen.  This year our service will take place outside with the focal point being the crosses on the hillside and the Good News that Christ is Risen.  Immediately following the service will be a tasty Easter breakfast.  At 10:15 we are having our Easter Communion Service.
